NIC AM-6F Automated Continuous Mercury Monitor

Product Description

The NIC AM-6F is an automated continuous mercury monitor specifically designed for the long-term, precise measurement of Gaseous Elemental Mercury (GEM) in ambient air. It utilizes gold-amalgamation and Cold Vapor Atomic Fluorescence Spectroscopy (CVAFS) for exceptional sensitivity and stability.

Key features and capabilities include:

  • Unattended Continuous Operation: Designed for extended period ambient air measurements, the system is fully automated and features a built-in mercury permeation source for periodic auto-calibration, making it ideal for remote installations.

  • High Sensitivity & Precision: The CVAFS detector and precise control of gas flows via a Mass Flow Controller (MFC) ensure highly accurate and stable measurements of trace atmospheric mercury.

  • Remote Monitoring & Diagnostics: Offers remote connectivity for monitoring instrument status, transferring data files, and retrieving diagnostic logs, enabling proactive maintenance and minimizing downtime.

  • Low Operational Cost: Engineered for efficiency, it consumes very little power (0.4kVA max) and has ultra-low argon carrier gas consumption (a cylinder can last up to 6 months), reducing the need for frequent site visits.

  • Rugged and User-Friendly: All functions are controlled via a rugged industrial touch-screen display, and the unit is designed for reliable performance in continuous monitoring networks.
