The NIC MA-3 Solo is an affordable, high-performance direct mercury analyzer that utilizes Direct Thermal Decomposition (TDA) technology, eliminating the need for complex acid digestion and sample pre-treatment. It is a compact, lightweight (13kg), and portable instrument ideal for labs with lower throughput or for use as a complementary tool.

Key features and capabilities include:

• Direct Thermal Decomposition Analysis: The core technology eliminates wet chemical pre-treatment, enabling direct analysis of solids, liquids, and viscous samples, which makes it fast, environmentally friendly (no acidic waste), and easy to use.

• Compliant & Versatile: Complies with key standards including USEPA 7473, ASTM D7623, and UOP 938-20, making it suitable for environmental, petroleum (crude oil, naphtha), food, and biological samples.

• High Sensitivity & No Gas Cylinder: Achieves a detection limit of 0.01 ng and operates using purified room air as a carrier gas, requiring no expensive gases or consumables, which significantly lowers operating costs.

• Perfect Complementary Tool: Serves as an ideal complement to ICP-MS/OES, efficiently handling challenging matrices like soils, oils, and sludges without risking cross-contamination of other trace element analyzers.

• Expandable System: Capabilities can be expanded with optional AQUA and Gas Analysis Kits for measuring mercury in water and gaseous matrices (ambient air, natural gas), making the MA-3 Solo a versatile platform.
