The NIC PE-1000 is a fully automated mercury analyzer designed for the direct measurement of total mercury in various liquid hydrocarbon matrices, from crude oil to refined products like naphtha.

Key features and capabilities include:

• Direct Measurement with No Pre-treatment: The system requires no wet chemical pre-treatment, allowing for direct injection of samples.

• Patented Pyrolysis Technology: It uses a patented pyrolyzer with high-temperature combustion (>800°C) to ensure complete sample decomposition and avoid mercury loss.

• Gold Amalgamation & CVAF Detection: Mercury is trapped and concentrated using a gold amalgamation technique and then measured with Cold Vapor Atomic Fluorescence Spectroscopy (CVAFS), achieving an exceptionally low detection limit of 0.01 ppb.

• Compliance with UOP 938-20: The analyzer is accredited and fully complies with the UOP 938-20 test method.

• Fast and User-Friendly: It offers a rapid analysis time of 8-12 minutes and is operated by intuitive software for ease of use.

• Configurable Systems: The PE-1000 is available in manual injection or autosampler configurations (15 or 121 positions).

• Expanded Applications: With the optional RH-PE accessory, the system can also be configured for the analysis of mercury in gaseous matrices, complying with methods like ASTM D6350-14.
