The NIC WA-5A is a mercury analyzer for gaseous matrices that utilizes dual-gold amalgamation coupled with Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (AAS) for high-precision measurement. It is a compact and versatile system designed for measuring ultra-trace levels of mercury in various gas samples, from ambient air to hydrocarbon fuels.

Key features and capabilities include:

• Dual-Gold Amalgamation System: This core technology ensures high precision and accuracy by trapping, concentrating, and purifying mercury, which eliminates interferences for reliable results.

• Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (AAS) Detection: The WA-5A uses a robust AAS detector with a dual-cell auto-range system, providing a superior detection limit of 0.001 ng (1 pg).

• Multi-Configurable System: The analyzer can be used as a standalone unit or expanded with optional attachments like the TC-WA auto tube changer (30 positions) for fully automated analysis and the LP-WA heated vaporizer for direct sampling from LPG cylinders.

• Compliance with Standard Methods: It is designed to comply with key test methods for gas analysis, including ASTM D5954, ISO 6978, and ISO 20552.

• Versatile Applications: The system is suitable for a wide range of gaseous samples, including Ambient Air, Natural Gas, Shale Gas, LPG/LNG, and Hydrogen Gas.
